We would like to once again, invite you to join the staff of David Scott Salon & Spa in the fight against heart disease in women through “Color Me Red”, an event celebrating heart month and bringing awareness to the Go Red For Women campaign.
On Sunday February 13th 2011 our stylists will be coloring or highlighting 60 women a shade of red for a minimum donation of $40. All proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women Campaign. (Appointments required.)
The Color Me Red event is from 11am until 6pm and will be packed with nutrition and fitness information, heart-healthy snacks and special activities, including a raffle to win a “Day at the Spa” and many other prizes. Raffle tickets are $1 and may be purchased at the salon throughout January and until the event. The drawing will be made at 6pm on February 13th, 2011.
In addition to color services, our team of spa technicians will also be offering Polish Changes ($10), Express Manicures ($15), Express Pedicures ($30) and 30 minute Relaxing Massages ($30). Appointments are recommended and can be made in advance by calling 440 734 7595. Walk-in appointments will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis but availability may be limited.
The American Heart Association, an inaugural recipient of the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance Seal, uses all revenues from local and national Go Red For Women activities to support awareness, research, education and community programs to fight the No.1 killer of women. Funds are allocated based on the overall spending guidelines of the American Heart Association, with over 21% spent on research, almost 40% on public health education, and 13% on educating healthcare professionals.
Go Red for Women is nationally sponsored by Macy’s & Merck and locally presented by University Hospitals Harrington-McLaughlin Heart & Vascular Institute.
